Why join a union?

1. You have the strength and support of your colleagues, and the full resources and power of your trade union behind you. Managements are more likely to listen to a well-organised union; they are unlikely to listen or talk to a long line of individual employees.

2. You are likely to earn more. Average earnings are higher in unionised workplaces.

3. You are more likely to get equal pay. Workplaces with union recognition are more likely to have an equal opportunities policy.

4. You are less likely to be injured at work. Unionised workplaces are more likely to have a strong safety culture, with union representatives making sure that management meet their legal obligations.

5. You will enjoy legal representation in times of need. With the full resources of your union supporting you, your complaint can be brought to court. This would not be possible as an individual.

6. As a member of a union and with representation in the Legislative Council, you are playing a part in the proper functioning and improvement of the Hong Kong society.

Why Join the FAU?

1. FAU is the only union who will protect its members until 70 years of age even if members leave their job as cabin crew. This is made easy and possible by joining as an Associate member.

2. FAU is the only union that provides medical care where the company falls short. We refer to all those Hourly Paid Crew who are under a limited coverage of only $5500 annually.

6. 每個工會都會有立法局議員的支援，代表著不同階層的工會組織，向政府部門及立法局提出訴求和討論，以維繫及改善香港繁榮，是個維繫社會及民生的重要組織。
